Summary

One in this comedy series about a struggling black family living in a Chicago housing project, dominated by the flamboyant James "J.J." Evans, Jr., with his rousing signature wail "Dy-no-miiiite!" When word of this gets out, T.C., the assistant building superintendent, gets the notion that J.J. will ask her to the dance. T.C. throws hints at J.J. but he doesn't pick up on them.
