Summary
One in this whimsical comedy/drama series about the personal and professional misadventures of Ally McBeal, a neurotic young lawyer living in Boston. In this episode, Ally's heartthrob, attorney Bobby Donnell, asks for her help in a peculiar case involving two friends who wish to exchange hearts. The hospitals are unwilling to entertain this bizarre request for a live heart transplant, particularly since the donor is an ex-homeless janitor, and the recipient is a dying, wealthy CEO who helped the janitor off the streets. Everyone suspects that the CEO is actually buying the heart from his "friend," but Ally and Bobby soon recognize their true motivations. Also, Ally is increasingly attracted to Bobby, who seems responsive to her flirtations. Meanwhile, John Cage argues against Renee in a case about a self-proclaimed cupid who assaults young lovers with a wooden paddle; and Billy and Georgia conclude that they need to work out some of the kinks in their marriage. Commercials deleted.
