Summary

This program, hosted by Linda Ellerbee, features a conversation with professional basketball star Magic Johnson. Johnson answers questions about HIV and AIDS that are asked by a group of children. Topics discussed include the following: Johnson's first reaction when he found out about his condition; the way that he has been learning to live with HIV; what HIV and AIDS actually are, and how a person's immune system is affected; whether he was nervous about how his peers would react when he announced his retirement because of HIV; the period of time it took for him to decide that his condition needed to be made public; the message he would give to people who think that they could never get AIDS; and what he views as the best protection against HIV and AIDS.
