Summary
A special television showcase of circus acts from the Belle Vue Circus in Manchester, England, hosted by Jack Klugman. Circus performances are interspersed with footage of Klugman interviewing the various performers. Highlights include: a horseback riding routine from the Cossacks; a lion-taming presentation by noted lion-tamer Dick Chipperfield; a trapeze performance by Inge Lees; a comedy routine from clowns Jacko Fossett and Little Billy; a “perch act” performed by the Duo Heleus; a dance and rhythm performance by the Four Biagres; Mary Chipperfield performing a routine with several caged tigers; an act featuring Leigh Marsh and a group of trained dogs; a high-wire routine from the Bruksons; an acrobatic performance by the Monahans; Old Regnas performing another trained dog act; a unicycling act from the Bertinis; and footage of Dick Chipperfield in rehearsal with his lions.
