Summary
One in this comedy series starring the husband-and-wife team of George Burns and Gracie Allen as themselves. As the star of a television comedy series, the cigar-smoking Burns plays straight man to dizzy wife Gracie Allen, who invariably embroils him -- and their neighbors Blanche and Harry Morton -- in her zany domestic schemes. Burns also appears as commentator on the action, confiding philosophically to the audience about Gracie's madcap intrigues and predicting their outcome. In this episode, Gracie's friend Mamie and her three daughters come to visit George and Gracie. The children's actions disrupt the lives of George and his neighbor, Harry. In separate mishaps, George accidentally steps on roller skates that the children leave lying about the house, and gets blamed for breaking Harry's window after the children shoot at it with a toy gun. Meanwhile, Harry Von Zell upsets Bill by talking about him as if he were an old man. Throughout the show advertisements for Carnation products are worked into the sketches. Includes commercials.
