QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY (AKA QUEER EYE): A VERY QUEER EYE HOLIDAY: HOLIDAY SPECIAL (TV)
Summary
One in this reality television series featuring a group of gay lifestyle experts who provide advice to heterosexual men.
The Fab Five revisit some of their previous “straight guys:” John Bargeman, Butch Schepel, George Katsigiannis, and Adam Zalta. Each of them is to be visited by one of the Fab Five members except for Jai, who will be readying for a holiday party at their loft. No one has been forewarned about the arrivals, and the Fab Five are anxious to see what the reactions will be and how the men have fared since their initial visits. Later, the party gets under way, attended by the Fab Five and the straight guys and their families. There, the Fab Five show clips of their first encounters with the straight guys and their attempts to render lifestyle advice. Ted then demonstrates how to prepare mulled wine.
As the party progresses, each of the straight guys is brought aside, along with their wives, girlfriends, family, by the Fab Five, who discuss how their lives have changed. More clips are shown of Carson visiting Adam, Kyan visitng Butch, Ted visiting George, and Thom visiting John. Carson demonstrates a way to rapidly get red wine stains out of clothing. Thom displays some found-object art he used as decorations for the party. Kyan gives advice about the importance of lip balm to avoid chapping from extremes in temperature. The Fab Five also present various holiday gifts to their guests. The Fab Five then converse amongst themselves to determine which of their guests has made the greatest progress in maintaining changes, and announce that Adam is the “overachiever” among them. Commercials deleted.
