BROTHERS & SISTERS: COMPROMISES (TV)

Summary

One in this drama series about the California-based Walker family, an adult clan of siblings trying to live up to their parents' lofty expectations after the death of the family patriarch.

In this episode, Robert is advised by Kitty, Travis, and Isaac to "play harder" when his campaign comes under attack in Greenville, S.C. Back in California, Kevin meets Scotty's friends, who tell Scotty that Kevin is too "uptight." At the Ojai offices, Graham relays a new business initiative to Sarah just as she's served with divorce papers from Joe. She opts to postpone signing them. Meanwhile, Nora, Rebecca, and a recovering Justin try to bond as the trio gets restless in the Walker home.

The next day, Kitty brings Jack and Sophie to Detroit to visit Robert in his headquarters. As a special surprise, she also introduces Jason, who makes Isaac visibly uncomfortable. Later, Isaac admits to Kitty that he outed Jason in Robert's first campaign. The group then visits a local fair, where the kids gets sick, prompting Kitty to return them to the hotel. Kitty calls Nora and asks for help in dealing with the pair's flu symptoms, which she has already contracted. However, Nora is thinking more about Isaac, a subject that Saul begins teasing her about. Back at headquarters, Travis warns Jason to "lay low" before revealing that Isaac was the man that outed him. Elsewhere, Rebecca goes to David's place so that he can teach her the art of photography. He later shows her old photos that he took of Holly in the '80s.

That night, Sarah insists on going out with Kevin, so he takes her to a gay bar. There, they run into Scotty and his pals. Sarah tries to make Kevin perform on the karaoke stage but he lets her sing a solo. Saul goes to Milo's apartment, where he learns that Milo has taken off for Rome. Saul instead has drinks with Milo's friend Evan and learns of his role in Milo's past. Meanwhile, Kitty reaches her breaking point with Sophie and Jack after the two get troublesome in the hotel room.

When Robert returns to Jason's apartment, he's blindsided as Jason excoriates him for having put Isaac back on his staff. Jason apologizes for having concealed the source of the outing and quickly leaves for a meeting with the governor. However, Robert is crestfallen when the governor refuses to endorse him. Robert then returns to Jason, who offers a sympathetic shoulder. Back in California, Sarah tells Scotty's friends about her divorce. At their urging, she has Graham bring the papers to the bar, after which she signs them. In a desperate bid to show he's not "uptight," Kevin then makes an embarrassing showing on the karaoke stage. Later, Sarah puts moves on Graham, leading to their spending the night together at his apartment.

Rebecca starts to wonder about her own history after asking Holly if her romance with David took place at the same time as her affair with William. The next morning, Holly goes to see David and the two reminisce before kissing. Finally, Nora is pleased when Isaac calls to make a date to celebrate Robert's win in the Michigan primary. Includes commercials.
