Summary

One in this summer comedy/variety series that pays tribute to the 1930s and is hosted by Joey Heatherton and Frank Sinatra, Jr., and features The Golddiggers. Highlights of this program include the following segments, among others: Joey Heatherton and The Golddiggers perform "Anything Goes"; Paul Lynde portrays a bank teller who feels honored to be robbed by Bonnie and Clyde; The Times Square Two perform "I've Got a Feeling for Ophelia"; Paul Lynde and Barbara Heller portray a couple celebrating their anniversary on the day Prohibition is repealed; The Golddiggers sing "Let Yourself Go"; Stu Gilliam does a comedy monologue about a black child who informs his parents that he wishes to join the Ku Klux Klan; Skiles and Henderson present their version of Chicago's World Fair; Barbara Heller, Joey Heatherton, Paul Lynde, and Frank Sinatra, Jr., perform a unique version of "Wanting You"; Paul Lynde and others from the cast enact a spoof of a "Charlie Chan" murder mystery; Joey Heatherton sings "My Heart Belongs to Daddy"; Stanley Myron Handelman performs a comedy monologue about the attack dog he bought to protect his wife, and about his butcher; Barbara Heller sings a comic version of "Somebody Loves Me"; Frank Sinatra, Jr., sings "Exactly Like You"; The Golddiggers perform a musical number about baseball; Paul Lynde portrays a piano accompanist who is attempting to upstage his singer, Joey Heatherton; Barbara Heller plays a reporter interviewing a man (Paul Lynde) sitting on top of a flag pole; and the cast pays tribute to Shirley Temple and sings "You've Gotta Eat Your Spinach Baby," "Animal Crackers in My Soup," "Baby Take a Bow," and "On the Good Ship Lollipop." Commercials deleted.

(This show also ran on NBC during the summers of 1968, 1969, and 1970. In 1972 and 1973, NBC aired two other "Dean Martin Presents" series.)
