ALFRED HITCHCOCK: SYBILLA (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic anthology series hosted by Alfred Hitchcock. In this episode, a man reflects back to when he brought his new wife to his mansion. On that day, Horace, a writer, received a desk from his bride, Sybilla, as a wedding present. It's the first in a long series of events that Horace comes to believe are eerily manipulative on his wife's part. These circumstances have such an effect on Horace's nerves that he considers murdering Sybilla. Not surprisingly, things don't go according to plan. Hitchcock appears in comedic skits before and after the story. Commercials deleted. (Network affiliation varies: as above, 1960-1962; on CBS, 1955-1960.)
