Summary

One in this comedy/variety series. Highlights of this program include the following segments: the June Taylor Dancers perform a tap dance routine to "There's No Business Like Show Business"; Jackie Gleason does a comic monologue in which he discusses his habit of drinking coffee and a man who intends to commit suicide at the World's Fair; Art Carney makes a surprise appearance on the show and jokes around with Gleason, refusing to allow Gleason to plug his new motion picture; Carney demonstrates the way Ed Norton would bowl; Sammy Spear and Jackie Gleason perform a duet which turns out to be much more of a comical battle of trumpeting talents; Barbara Heller narrates the newsreel of the "American Scene Magazine"; the "Poor Soul" attempts to discern what he is allergic to as he suffers from a sneezing fit; Jackie Gleason portrays a retired sword-fighting movie star; "Rum Dum" demonstrates the proper way to pack fragile items; Timmie Rogers performs a comic monologue filled with "oh yeahs" in which he comments on various topics including the movie "Cleopatra," the famous imprints left in cement in Hollywood, the problems of the wealthy, new tax forms, his family's budget, and the new toys on the market; Timmie Rogers performs a musical number with audience participation; Crazy Guggenheim, the character portrayed by Frank Fontaine, tells Joe the Bartender about the dream he had the previous night, a bon voyage party he attended, and compasses; and Crazy Guggenheim sings "Always." Includes commercials and a public service announcement.
