Summary

One in this series of whimsical adaptations of well-known tales and legends hosted and produced by Shelley Duvall.

In this version of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," a salesman named Doffue narrates this classic tale about a superstitious teacher named Ichabod Crane, who fears everything around him, especially the night. Ichabod Crane arrives at Sleepy Hollow where he hears tales about the existence of a ghost called "the Headless Horseman" who wanders the hollow looking for a new head.

At first, the cowardly school teacher decides he will leave town as soon as a replacement teacher is found, but he soon meets the lovely and wealthy Katrina and changes his mind. Unfortunately, Katrina already has a suitor named Brom Bones. Brom is not well-educated like the school teacher, but he is much stronger and much bigger than Ichabod.

Brom is not pleased with the way the women of Sleepy Hollow fawn over Ichabod and decides he is going to teach the school teacher a lesson. Brom preys on Ichabod's evil-fearing soul in order to rid himself of his competition once and for all.
