Summary
One in this dramatic anthology series. Based on the short story by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., this program is about a young black orphan living in a German orphanage at the end of World War II. The boy is told by the other orphans that his father must be an American soldier stationed at a military base in Germany. Believing his father is stationed nearby, the boy runs away and attaches himself to an American sergeant who is at a loss about what to do with the German-speaking boy. Includes a promo for "American Playhouse." (This program received an Emmy award in the category of Outstanding Children's Program.)
