Summary

One in this dramatic anthology series. This program is one of three features in "The Sunset Gang," a trilogy about a retirement community in Florida. The trilogy includes "Yiddish" and "The Home," and is based on a series of short stories by Warren Adler. "The Detective" concerns Seymour Shapiro (Stiller) and his wife, Bernice (Meara), who are perplexed by the mysterious disappearance of food from their refrigerator. They discover that several of their friends in Sunset Village are also baffled by similar raids on their pantries. Seymour, a devotee of detective novels, swings into action and tries to solve the phenomenon.
