MYSTERY!: CAMPION, SERIES 1: DEATH OF A GHOST {PART 1 OF 2} (TV)

Summary

Part one of a two-part program in this mystery anthology series. This program features mystery novelist Margery Allingham's sarcastic blueblood detective, Albert Campion, who is assisted by his very own observant "Dr. Watson," Magersfontein Lugg. In part one of "Death of a Ghost," Linda, the granddaughter of a dear friend of Campion's, is accused of murdering her fiancŽe, Tom, after learning that he had married another woman. Though Campion knows this accusation is a lot of rubbish, he cannot convince his friend, Inspector Oates, of the same. As a matter of fact, the only thing that has kept Linda out of prison is thet lack of evidence. Therefore, Campion feels inclined to clear her name and, in the process, find the guilty party. The deceased was an artist, but was not thought to be very good at his craft. However, soon after his death, various items of his work begin to disappear. Campion realizes that there must be more to the case than just a simple murder, especially when another corpse appears on the scene. Meanwhile, Lugg is annoyed with Campion because he is being kept off the case due to Campion's personal interest in the affair. Continues with T:25759.
