NIGHT GALLERY: GREEN FINGERS / THE FUNERAL / THE TUNE IN DAN'S CAFE (TV)

Summary

One in this supernatural anthology series hosted by Rod Serling. This episode consists of three stories: "Green Fingers," "The Funeral," and "The Tune in Dan's Café." "Green Fingers" pits a New England widow with a preternatural penchant for gardening against an unscrupulous real estate developer who is pressuring her to sell her quaint cottage so that he can construct an industrial complex. In "The Funeral," Milton Silkline is an enterprising mortician who allows a vampire named Ludwig Asper to hold his own funeral service with his ghoulish coterie -- a witch, a wolfman, and an assortment of fanged creatures of the netherworld -- at his posh parlor. "The Tune in Dan's Café" tells the story of two troubled couples: Joe and Kelly Bellman, who stop at Dan's café en route to their home after a vacation failed to rekindle the passion that has left their marriage, and Roy Gleason and his girlfriend Red, a couple who met a tragic end at Dan's many years earlier, but whose memory is perpetuated by an eerie dirge which is persistently played by the bistro's maddening jukebox.
