CHICAGO HOPE: LOVE AND HOPE (TV)
Summary
One in this series of medical dramas about the personal and professional lives of the staff of the state-of-the-art Chicago Hope Hospital and the ethical dilemmas they face. In this episode, a patient gets brought in for one problem and the doctors discover more severe problems; Dr. Aaron Shutt spends Christmas with his wife, with whom he has recently reconciled; Dr. Jeffrey Geiger busily rehearses for a Christmas show at the mental institute where his wife is staying; and Daniel Nyland and Nurse Maggie Atkisson have a romance that is scattered throughout the day as well as the hospital. Meanwhile, Dr. Alan Birch, the hospital lawyer, grows concerned about the legal charges that could very easily be brought against many of the doctors; however, none of the pill bags seems to care and show no respect for Alan; Maggie begins to realize the strong feelings she has for Daniel, but is nervous about his emotions; Camille Shutt experiments with a computer program that shows her what she would look like after plastic surgery and Aaron can't believe she actually thought about it; and in an emotional scene, when the mental institute's Christmas show does not run smoothly, Jeffrey takes it upon himself to make it work out perfectly. Commercials deleted.
