LIFE WITH LUIGI: PILOT {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The premiere in this comedy series featuring the lives of Luigi Basco, a sweet but naive Italian immigrant, and his friend Pasquale. In this episode, Luigi is preparing to take his test for American citizenship. Pasquale, the man responsible for getting Luigi to America, wants to sabotoge Luigi's test after Luigi refuses to marry Pasquale's fat daughter Rosa. Taking advantage of Luigi's ignorance, Pasquale convinces Luigi to open a checking account and then cons him into handing over a signed blank check. Pasquale uses the check to send the citizenship judge a fake bribe letter; he hopes that Luigi will be so desperate for citizenship that he will marry Rosa rather than face deportation when his application is rejected. Everything goes as planned -- until the judge uncovers Pasquale's scam. Includes commercials.
