RYAN'S HOPE {SERIES FINALE} (TV)

Summary

The final episode in this long-running daytime serial which follows the fortunes of the Ryan family in New York City. In this episode, Jack prepares to marry Leigh, still unable to completely let go of a past love, his first wife Mary. Meanwhile, Siobhan frets to her mother Mauve about her feelings for Fenno. At the wedding, where Ryan and Zena serve as bridesmaids, Matthew "reluctantly" presents Leigh to Jack before guests celebrate afterward at the bar. Rae arrives late, on her way to the Netherlands, to congratulate the newlyweds. Eventually, trouble arises when Ben pulls Lizzie away from John and kisses her in the kitchen. A fight is averted when it's revealed that Ben is headed to Australia. Nancy Don arrives, right after Chaz and Ryan had exchanged their feelings of love for each other. Ironically, she, too, is Australia-bound. Siobhan tells Fenno that she loves him, shortly after Delia orders Maggie out of the bar. Later, Bobby realizes he won the lottery. Pat asks Faith if Grace is his daughter, which she answers only with a smile. Finally, Maeve sings "Danny Boy" as guests gather around and prepare to "have a good life." Includes commercials.
