MR. SHOW WITH BOB AND DAVID: THE RETURN OF THE CURSE OF THE CREATURE'S GHOST {THIRD SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of sketch comedy programs starring Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. In this episode, Bob and David pay tribute to people and places that made them who they are, particularly Moe Phelps, their high-school guidance counselor. The Local World News channel does a "Newsmaker of the Week" story on high-school janitor Gus Kryzinski, a man who uses an empty school as his late-night playground. Reporter Jazz Witherspoon updates the status of Art Keesdan, a local "button glutton." Carl Bellflower, the singing news reporter, notes the arrival of Daniel Smith, Harvard's top law-school graduate, at a job interview at a prestigious firm; at the meeting, Smith is dismayed to learn from the partners that the world's entire civilization is built on oral sex. Titannica, a heavy-metal band, visits a suicide survivor and fan in the hospital, much to the dismay of those blessed by the visit. Ken Doral, host of the "Pre-Taped Call-in Show," continues to have problems with the workings of his program. In the second half of "The Return of the Curse of the Creature's Ghost," a black-and-white horror film, guests at a haunted house have trouble figuring out whom exactly they should fear. At a meeting of the Chip-on-the-Shoulder club, members have trouble deciding on a field trip destination. The program ends as Moe Phelps returns to show Bob and David how easy it is to be an actor.
