HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: FALLEN HEROES {PART 1 OF 2} {SIXTH SEASON FINALE} (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. In this episode, Falsone and Stivers investigate the mysterious shooting of a parole officer, and Pembleton and Bayliss cooperate with the FBI on a murder case concerning Judge Gibbons and the notorious Mahoney family. Falsone and Stivers are puzzled when they examine the scene of a drive-by shooting where parole officer Eugene Richmond died, especially upon finding the deadly bullet was shot from a gun used at point-blank range. After conducting research at Richmond's office, they find that he was a strict parole officer with many enemies among ex-cons and parolees -- and that one parolee in particular held a personal grudge against Richmond. Meanwhile, Pembleton and Bayliss try to construct a plausible scenario to explain the stabbing of Judge Gibbons. Through the FBI, they learn that Gibbons was involved in shady dealings with the Mahoney family; when the fingerprints of Nathaniel Lee "Junior Bunk" Mahoney are found at the crime scene, the pieces begin to fall into place. They bring Junior into custody as the prime suspect in Gibbons's murder, believing that under threat of lethal injection or life in prison, Junior will lead them to his mother, the head of the Mahoney family. But Pembleton, Bayliss, and Lewis have underestimated Junior, and their mistake has tragic consequences for their entire precinct. Commercials deleted. Continues with T:53046.
