HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET: FALLEN HEROES {PART 2 OF 2} {SIXTH SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
Continued from T:53045. One in this dramatic police series about a department of reflective homicide detectives in Baltimore, Maryland. As part two of this two-part episode begins, three officers have been killed, Gharty and Ballard are in the hospital, and Lt. Giardello calls on all his officers to bring down the Mahoney family. Although they question more than a dozen Mahoney associates, no one will lead them to Georgia Ray, and with the help of her attorneys she stays one step ahead of the police. They finally manage to trace her to a friend's apartment, but by the time they arrive, trouble has begun and shots are being fired. The police unit circles the building and a gun battle ensues, and when Stivers and Lewis search the apartment, they are surprised to find that Georgia has been murdered. Meanwhile, the unidentified shooters escape from the back of the building and run into Pembleton and Bayliss, with deadly results. As the list of casualties grows, Giardello decides to get to the bottom of the Mahoney war and orders a reinvestigation of Luther Mahoney's shooting. He believes the shooting was suspicious, and when the case is reopened, Lewis and Kellerman are the first to be questioned. But the information that emerges may ruin a number of detectives. Giardello wants to minimize the damage to his department, but as chaos reigns throughout their precinct, Kellerman and Pembleton both suffer crises of conscience that may cause them to leave the police department permanently.
