DIAGNOSIS MURDER: BLOOD BROTHERS MURDER (TV)
Summary
One in this series of mystery programs about Dr. Mark Sloan, a physician at Community General Hospital who enjoys solving murder cases with the help of his son, Steve, a homicide detective. This episode focuses on the battle between two rival gangs, the Surfers and the Blacks & Whites. As the program opens, Eddie and the Black & Whites attack the Surfers because one of them, Shane, is dating his sister, Maria. During a knife fight, a few gang members are wounded and must go to the hospital after police break up the brawl. Upon examining them, Dr. Sloan is disturbed to see Shane in trouble, since he is friendly with the boy's family. That night, Shane is threatened in public by Eddie, and soon thereafter, Eddie is stabbed to death in front of his house. Despite a failed attempt to flee, Shane is picked up by police as the prime suspect. Meanwhile, the Black & Whites almost kill Shane's brother, Terry, in a drive-by shooting to avenge their former leader. Eddie's pal, Pedro, declares that the person who kills Shane will be the new leader of the gang. Once Steve and Dr. Sloan take Shane into their custody, the troubled boy and the doctor visit the murder scene and find a bit of evidence -- but the police discover evidence that incriminates him. When the Black & Whites abduct Maria and use her to lure Shane to their hideout, he appears to be doomed. But Dr. Sloan arrives with a theory about the murder, leading the Black & Whites to accept another solution to Eddie's death. This program is closed-captioned. Commercials deleted.
