Summary
One in this long-running daytime serial about the residents of the midwestern town of Springfield. This episode takes place on Halloween night and begins as Dinah starts a fire in her bedroom so that Hart will feel guilty about leaving her alone. The blaze gets out of hand, however, and she gets more trouble than she bargained for. Cassie is tormented by the desire to be with Hart and tell him that he is the father of her baby, but she is reluctant to make him leave Dinah. Michelle breaks the news to Jesse that she is not sure that she wants to move in with him, and Selena pleads with Drew to give her vacation time so that she can locate the daughter she gave up for adoption when she was in prison twenty years earlier. Buzz is unconvinced that Ken Norris is really the Springfield stalker despite the reassurances of Frank Cooper. Meanwhile, Annie Dutton assumes the identity of police detective Teri DeMarco and begins administering a powerful drug to Josh that allows her to hypnotize him. She plans to make him fall in love with her and leave Reva, but his love for Reva makes her scheme harder to implement than she had hoped. Commercials deleted.
(The title of this series was "The Guiding Light" on radio from 1937 to 1956 and on television from 1952 to 1977; in 1977 the title was changed to "Guiding Light.")
