OZ: STRANGE BEDFELLOWS (TV)

Summary

One in this series of dramas set in the Oswald Maximum Security Penitentiary, nicknamed "Oz." As this episode opens, Said tries to defend Schillinger against charges of conspiracy to kill Beecher, but Diane and Tim lie at the deposition, thus nullifying the case. Bellinger and her secret pen pal, Adebisi, trade love notes, and Raoul Hernandez, "El Cid," takes over as the new leader of the Latino prisoners. Schibetta is released from the hospital ward after being poisoned by Adebisi. He and Pancamo try to corner Adebisi the next day, but he knocks them both unconscious and rapes Schibetta for revenge. New prisoner Jiggy Walker brags that he sold drugs to Governor Devlin. Said leaks this information to the press in an effort to ruin Devlin, but the plan backfires. Sister Pete discovers that Giles murdered the man who killed her former husband, but she cannot find a motive for the crime. Cyril, Ryan's brother, is imprisoned for killing Gloria Nathan's husband, and she bitterly confronts Ryan over the incident. Ryan breaks off with his wife Shannon in order to pursue his obsession with Nathan. Keller teams up with Schillinger to get Beecher hooked on alcohol again. Keller gets drunk, the two declare their love for each other with a passionate kiss, and the guards haul Keller off to the hole when he resists their attempts to break up the amorous embrace. Beecher, distraught over both his feelings for Keller and his loneliness now that Keller is gone, turns to booze after all.
