SEX AND THE CITY: DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Carrie Bradshaw, a single Manhattanite who writes a popular sex-advice column for a newspaper while dishing out dating advice and dirt with her three closest friends. In this episode, Charlotte's big wedding day has arrived. Miranda, hoping to find the right date for the big day, tries a "multi-dating service," which offers a series of trial mini-dates in one evening. There she finds the men threatened by the fact that she is a lawyer -- so she eventually lies and tells one of her mini-dates that she is a stewardess. At the rehearsal dinner, Trey's Scottish cousin Caleb catches Samantha's eye. Carrie is tormented about whether to tell Aidan about her affair with Big, wondering whether "honesty really is the best policy" in relationships. Miranda's lie pays off, landing her a date for the wedding and a night in bed with a doctor. The girls have a night on the town the night before the wedding, and Charlotte reveals that she has not yet been intimate with Trey. Samantha has an intimate evening with Caleb, and Carrie goes to Aidan's apartment, where the two talk. Carrie attempts to tell him about her affair but loses her nerve. Too excited to wait for the honeymoon, Charlotte goes to Trey's apartment that night, but she is disappointed when she realizes that he has a sexual dysfunction. The next morning, Miranda learns that her prospective date has told a lie of his own. She dumps him and brings Stanford to the wedding instead. Carrie finally tells Aidan that she had an affair with Big, and he does not attend the wedding. At the church, Charlotte hesitates before walking down the aisle and reveals Trey's problem to Carrie, who talks her friend through the situation.
