SIX FEET UNDER: I'LL TAKE YOU (TV)
Summary
One in this series about the Fisher clan, a loving -- if dysfunctional -- family struggling to maintain a sense of normalcy in the face of the stressful day-to-day operations of the eccentric family business, a funeral home in Los Angeles. In this episode, an aging woman named Leticia Perez dies while at the beauty parlor. Nate reads an erotic story in Brenda's computer and lightheartedly asks her about it. Later, they attend a new-age style "commitment ceremony" between Brenda's once-estranged parents. Keith and David's relationship continues to be strained. They make preparations for a visit from a social worker, who will determine their adequacy as Taylor's surrogate parents. Claire takes a campus tour at LAC Arts, the art school she wants to attend, and works diligently to put together the necessary application. After getting a letter of recommendation from Billy, they chat, and he admits his feelings of attraction for her. Ruth overwhelms Nikolai with her obsessive planning. They have a date that doesn't turn out the way she had hoped, so Ruth ends their relationship, and is saddened when Nikolai doesn't protest. David and Nate suffer through their dealings with the arrogant son of the departed Mrs. Perez. Meanwhile, Federico remembers his own father's death. At a meeting with an attorney, Federico and Vanessa are exhilarated to discover that Mrs. Perez, who was their neighbor, left them a hefty inheritance. While working on a pre-need funeral contract with Aaron Buchbinder, a terminal cancer patient, Nate is struck by Aaron's cynicism and loneliness and makes a deal to visit him every day. Nate coincidentally meets a character from Brenda's erotic story and deduces that the story is something that really happened to her. The couple has a huge argument, with grim results. On a domestic violence call, Keith loses his cool and gets into trouble, again. Lisa calls the Fisher home and gets Ruth, who is shocked to hear that Lisa just gave birth to Nate's daughter.
