LAW & ORDER {LAW AND ORDER}: CRIMINAL INTENT: JONES (TV)
Summary
One in this series of dramas -- a spin-off of "Law & Order" -- that deals with the investigation, arrest, and prosecution of criminals, but with a slight twist: each episode begins from the criminal's point of view as the actual crime is committed. This episode concerns a personal injury lawyer and his murdered mistresses. The episode begins with Henry Talbot drowning one of his mistresses Angie Suarez. His wife Denise suspects something, but Henry is able to persuade her that nothing is going on. Goren and Eames pick up the case after Suarez's body is discovered by some neighbors. The neighbors lead the detectives to a hostess bar where Suarez worked, and the two question the owner and some co-workers. After another similarly built woman is found drowned at the beach, Goren suspects that they may have a serial situation on their hands. When yet another woman is found drowned, Goren notices that all three women had personal injury lawsuits handled by Henry Talbot's law firm. When the detectives arrive at the firm, Talbot immediately places the blame on a former co-worker Randy Bowlers, who he claims he has just fired. Bowlers informs Goren that Talbot is addicted to cocaine, gambling, and women, and it is he who is guilty of murder. After another suspected mistress Irina Konchalovsky is found dead, Talbot goes flees, and the two detectives are forced to use Talbot's wife and bookie to lure him back. Commercials deleted.
