GUIDING LIGHT {REVA'S STALKER STRIKES ON THE SET} (TV)
Summary
One in this long-running daytime serial about the residents of the midwestern town of Springfield. In this episode, Springfield is on edge as the police prepare to trap Reva's stalker during a live broadcast of her talk show. Also, Olivia persuades Phillip to protect her unborn child from Alan. At the hospital after a miscarriage scare, Olivia tells Philip the child might be his; though warned by Alexandria of Olivia's intentions to use the baby to her advantage, he agrees to stand by her and the baby. Alexandria is annoyed when Phillip brings Olivia to stay at the Spaulding mansion. At the television studio, Frank, Gus, and Harley have taken all measures to secure the studio against an attack by Reva's stalker, but Marah is reassured by Tony's added vigilance. Holly's unexpected attendance of the show spooks Reva and Josh. Though Cassie, Josh, Marah, and Shayne try to convince Reva to call the show off, Reva proceeds with the plan to flush out the stalker. As Reva takes the stage, Tony spots a suspicious bag; he hurls it down the stairwell right before it explodes. Commercials deleted.
(The title of this series was "The Guiding Light" on radio from 1937 to 1956 and on television from 1952 to 1977; in 1977 the title was changed to "Guiding Light.")
