Summary

One in this live dramatic anthology series. This docudrama, narrated by Edward R. Murrow, recreates the events leading up to and the panic that resulted from the radio broadcast by Orson Welles and his "Mercury Theatre" of H. G. Wells's science-fiction tale "The War of the Worlds" on October 30, 1938, which reported on an invasion of the earth by monsters from Mars. Includes commercials for Westinghouse.
