HAWAII FIVE-0 {HAWAII FIVE-O}: FULL FATHOM FIVE (TV)

Summary

One in this series of dramas that follow rogue Detective Steve McGarrett as he uncovers evil in paradise as a member of a special branch of the Hawaiian State Police. In this episode, McGarrett is hot on the trail of a serial killer named Victor Reese, whose modus operandi is to seduce wealthy widows on cruise ships and murder them for their riches. As the episode opens Reese's tenth victim is dumped into the ocean while the heartless slayer sips a flute of champagne. McGarrett first stumbles across Reese's case history in an unrelated investigation of a missing person, but he picks up on Reese's pattern immediately. After meeting the women on a cruise liner bound for Hawaii, Reese wins their confidence and convinces them that he is deeply in love with them. Reese then tells the women that he knows of a gorgeous beach-front property that he wants to share with them forever. His money is tied up in a foreign bank, he explains, and he just needs the women to pitch in until he can gain access to his funds. The minute the women deposit their dough, Reese plies them with poisoned libations and pushes them to the bottom of the sea. McGarrett enlists Detective Danny "Dan-O" Williams to help him flesh out his plan. They decide to send an undercover female officer on a cruise ship to Hawaii as bait. Officer Joyce Weber is assigned the job, and the incognito cop proves a convincing actress; soon Reese is hovering around her, ready to pounce. Commercials deleted.
