The Paley Center for Media is proud to partner with The Beverly Hills Literary Escape all weekend from October 22 to 24, 2010. The Literary Escape is a community-wide book group who shares a passion for intellectual and entertaining experiences that take readers beyond the book with intimate, highly anticipated events for the discerning reader. These community events will be held at different venues throughout the City of Beverly Hills and a part of the proceeds will benefit the Beverly Hills Public Library. Paley Center Members will receive discounts to the VIP pass, Packages, or admission is free to “Rewriting the American Dream." Please visit the festival's website for a full description of each event. Please be sure to enter code Paley2010 for your special member discount and be sure to RSVP to rsvpliterary@paleycenter.org if you are going to attend the free event.

The stories told by our panelists capture the anxiety and confusion of a changing cultural landscape in Los Angeles and in our nation. As a panel of divergent voices, they will explore the deeper question of what has become of the American Dream. A dream that must include confronting a world that we have considered alien and forging a new relationship with each other in that world.
