The Paley Center for Media Announces Key Executive Leadership Appointments

New York, NY, September 29, 2021 – The Paley Center for Media announced today two key appointments to the institution's executive leadership team. Elizabeth Rojas Levi has been named Senior Vice President of Communications, and Rene Reyes has been promoted to Vice President of Public Programming and Festivals. 

"I am thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Rojas Levi to the Paley family and to recognize Rene Reyes for his outstanding work and dedication to raise the Paley Center’s public programs and festivals to new heights," said Maureen Reidy, President and CEO of the Paley Center. "They are both an example of the extraordinary talent, expertise, and diversity of our leadership team, and reflect Paley’s position as the standard of excellence in the industry now and for generations to come.”

Ms. Rojas Levi will be based in New York City and will be responsible for leading the Paley Center’s brand and reputation efforts, corporate communications strategy, and overseeing the organization’s external and internal communications functions. Ms. Rojas Levi will also work closely with the Paley Center’s Media Council and International Council, foundations, and supporters, to continue driving the center’s mission. “As a historic institutional landmark, the Paley Center has a remarkable convening power to create community, elevate diverse voices, and advance the exchange of ideas,” said Ms. Rojas Levi. “It’s an honor to join the team during an exciting time for the industry as technology continues to change consumer behavior, access to content, and today’s cultural landscape.”

In Rene Reyes’s new position as Vice President of Public Programming and Festivals, he will manage, lead, and ensure the successful implementation of the Paley Center’s renowned programs such as the Paley Front Rows, Paley Lives, as well as major festivals including PaleyFest LA, PaleyFest NY, and PaleyFest Fall TV Previews. "It continues to be an honor to celebrate and preserve the creative legacy of television through the work of the Paley Center, and a privilege to collaborate with my talented colleagues at Paley and throughout an industry that I love," said Mr. Reyes.

About Elizabeth Rojas Levi

Elizabeth Rojas Levi is joining the Paley Center from the Nokia Corporation, where she most recently led global communications for Nokia Enterprise, Nokia's start-up, and fastest-growing business division. She oversaw internal, external, and financial communications and effectively positioned Nokia as the Industry 4.0 leader. She was also the Senior Director of Global Public Affairs, where amongst other things, she led the Nokia delegation to Davos and positioned Nokia in Washington, DC, as a global player in 5G and cutting-edge tech.

Prior to Nokia, Ms. Rojas Levi was the Governor of Florida's representative in Washington, DC, an appointee to the US International Telecommunications Advisory Committee, a member of the Meridian Leadership Council, and a mentor with the US Department of State to help vulnerable girls get into tech. Elizabeth is a proud Ecuadorian and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. She earned an Economics degree from the University of Florida and an international MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

About Rene Reyes

Rene Reyes joined the Paley Center for Media in 2004. Since then, he has produced over 800 public programs with the leading voices in media. These programs have honored the casts and creators of popular television series and icons who have changed the face of media. During his tenure, Mr. Reyes has helped establish several collections in the Paley Center’s archive, including the LGBTQ+ Collection, which chronicles five decades of LGBTQ+ achievements in media. He is also a member of the Producers Branch of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and served on the Board of Directors of The Professional Dancer’s Society. Mr. Reyes is a New York National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Emmy® Award winning writer and producer.
