FORD THEATRE: THE FUGITIVES (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic anthology series. In this story, veteran Daily Sentinel crime reporter Steve McCoy risks his life to interview fugitive Red Lefwick, who has barricaded himself in a boarding house with two hostages. McCoy knows Lefwick well, having helped the criminal avoid the death penalty with a sympathetic newspaper piece. Now he feels responsible for any further damage Lefwick may cause, and resolves to get the interview at any cost. McCoy believes that he can coax Lefwick into releasing his youngest hostage, but when Lefwick turns violent, the journalist is forced into a physical confrontation. Commercials deleted.
