Summary
One in this night-time serial about the wealthy Carrington family of Denver, Colorado.
As Daniel kisses Krystle, someone hides nearby, taking pictures. She pushes Daniel away, appreciative for his support but still devoted to Blake. Daniel confesses that he has been in love with her for a long time, but she says she never realized. She maintains that even though he is special to her, she is still in love with Blake.
In Acapulco, Prince Michael calls Amanda but she turns him down for a date that night. Alexis chides her for doing so and wonders if Dex’s negative opinion of the prince is influencing her but she denies this, calling the prince “autocratic.” Blake calls Krystle back and tries to clear up their earlier misunderstanding. She complains that everyone except her seems to be in Acapulco with him; she doesn’t like being left out.
Alexis invites Prince Michael up to her room to dine with herself, Amanda, and Dex. Meanwhile, Blake has dinner with Ashley to discuss the oil leases. She asks Blake to be a part of a photographic essay she’s working on. They dance together and she talks about her late husband.
Dex asks Alexis why she’s setting Amanda up with Prince Michael. She counters by implying Dex has romantic feelings towards Amanda, noting if it is true, she will not abide by it. He denies her accusation but Alexis leaves before he can prove anything.
Krystle receives a photograph of Blake and Ashley together in the mail from an unknown source. Nicole confronts Jeff about him not sharing his life with her. She tries to bring up Fallon but he becomes angry. She mentions Fallon’s many affairs and Jeff nearly strikes her. She apologizes and asks him to come to bed with her but he leaves to go to the office. Blake receives another photograph of Krystle and Daniel together, and hires a private investigator to discover the source.
Amanda is out with Prince Michael but abruptly says she must leave. Prince Michael suspects there is another man in her life; she gives vague, evasive replies to his question. Regardless, Prince Michael suspects she is falling in love with him and asks her to stay with him for the night. They share a passionate embrace.
Alexis meets with Ashley, who says that Dex has manipulated the Chinese delegation into withdrawing their offer on the Denver-Carrington oil leases, leaving Alexis in a prime position to obtain the leases herself. Alexis denies any wrongdoing. Ashley further accuses her of manipulating her into indirectly convincing the Chinese into this position. Again, Alexis denies this and accuses Ashley of traveling to Acapulco for the sole purpose of getting closer to Blake. Ashley leaves.
When Dex returns, Alexis confronts him about Ashley’s accusations. He admits to it and says he did it to please her. Alexis is infuriated that he would make such a decision without her consent. They argue and he tells her the leases are hers for the taking before leaving.
Claudia talks to Steven and wants them to be friends again, but he says she has problems trusting him. Steven maintains that he is no longer involved with Luke and wants nothing more than a normal life with her and Danny. Claudia picks up Danny and he notices Steven’s distress.
Adam arrives at the Denver-Carrington offices to find Jeff sitting in his office. They argue about their place in the company. Adam berates Jeff for his ineptitude as a human being, but Jeff says that given Adam’s history, he is in no place to give moral advice. Jeff orders Adam out of the office and Adam storms out.
Daniel and his men sneak munitions into his house in preparation for his mission in Paraguay. Dex arrives and volunteers to accompany him, but Daniel believes Dex’s judgment is impaired and he shouldn’t go. Dex points out he has knowledge that could prove invaluable and Daniel changes his mind.
Alexis goes to talk to Blake, finding Ashley in his room. After Ashley leaves, Blake warns Alexis that no amount of manipulation on her part will affect his company. She proposes a deal to him: she’ll turn down any offers from the Chinese delegation if he gives her the leases. Blake agrees and they shake on it. He asks her why she settled on a lesser payment when she could have had much more, and she responds that she’s tired of being “at war” with Blake, recounting that some of their time together was quite happy.
After spending the night together, Prince Michael and Amanda have breakfast. He reveals that he is engaged to be married to a duchess at the behest of his father. He tries to tell Amanda how much she means to him, but she is nonplussed by the news and leaves, seemingly unaffected. However, when she goes to see Blake, she starts to break down.
Daniel visits Krystle to say goodbye. He doesn’t believe that she loves Blake, proclaiming again that he loves her and he will return for her. Claudia and Adam catch sight of Steven and Luke entering a restaurant together. Claudia is deeply hurt, believing that Steven lied to her. Inside the restaurant, Steven explains to Luke that it’s over between the two of them and that all he wants is a normal family life with Claudia.
Ashley meets with Blake again and takes photographs of him for her essay. The photo of Krystle and Daniel in his briefcase is nearly exposed, but he manages to conceal it. Claudia talks to Adam about seeing Steven with Luke and asks him to spend the night with her.
Blake returns home and is greeted by Krystle. He shows her a photograph of her and Daniel kissing. She tells him the truth, but he is skeptical. Commercials deleted.
