SEINFELD: THE BOYFRIEND (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series set in New York City in which comedian Jerry Seinfeld plays himself. Humorous situations in his personal life are interspersed with brief stand-up comedy routines. In this episode, Jerry and Elaine both begin relationships with former major-league baseball player Keith Hernandez. Jerry's anxiety over his newfound friendship with a star athlete turns to jealousy when Elaine begins to date the retired first baseman. Meanwhile, Kramer and Newman are enraged to learn that their friends have become involved with a man whom they claim spat on them after a New York Mets game at Shea Stadium. In a parody of Oliver Stone's film "JFK," Jerry refutes the "lone spitter" theory. As Jerry and Elaine compare notes on their "dates" with Hernandez, George romances the daughter of a woman who works at the New York State Department of Labor in a desperate attempt to have his unemployment benefits extended. Commercials deleted.
