Summary

One in this series which combines live-action and animation segments, featuring the Banana Splits, a garage rock band comprised of four full-body puppets representing animals of grotesque proportions: Fleegle, a dog; Drooper, a lion; Bingo, a gorilla; and Snorky, a runt elephant. Highlights from this episode include: the first episode of the animated "Arabian Knights" series, which relates how the Knights initially join forces to battle the evil tyrant who has conquered the city of Baghdad; Fleegle attempts to retrieve mail from the mailbox; the Banana Splits perform in a music video replete with psychedelic graphics; Drooper answers fan mail; an episode of the live-action series "Danger Island," in which an archaeologist, his daughter, and a young assistant -- who are searching for a lost city in the treacherous waters of the uncharted South Pacific -- are besieged by a band of swarthy, maniacal latter-day pirates; a skit in which Fleegle is a canine news reporter; an episode of the animated "Three Musketeers," which pits the three heroes against a cabal of miscreants who desire to keep the Spanish envoy from reaching an important conference in Paris; Drooper takes out the trash and demonstrates his new invention, an electric car; the Banana Splits perform in a music video in which they race automobiles to a background of soul musc; and Drooper trains his pet flea to play the piano.
