Summary
The first in this dramatic series that examines the activities of an FBI team that searches for missing persons by reconstructing -- through flashbacks -- the twenty-four-hour period leading up to the victim's day of disappearance. In this episode, the agents search for Maggie Cartwright, a 28-year-old woman, reported missing thirty-four hours after she was last seen. Working frantically to find her before forty-eight hours elapses, a point after which missing persons are unlikely to be found, Jack Malone and his team focus their investigation on the last person Maggie called, an ex-boyfriend, as well as a co-worker with whom she was having an affair. Vivian Johnson tries to track the ex-boyfriend, who flew to London the night of Maggie's disappearance. Martin Fitzgerald tries to find clues in Maggie's email, and seeks help from the computer technician at Maggie's office. Danny Taylor investigates the night doorman of Maggie's building. Malone and Fitzgerald question the co-worker with whom Maggie had an affair. Samantha Spade questions Maggie's parents, who saw their daughter the day she disappeared. As the forty-eight-hour mark nears, Malone fears they have lost any trace of Maggie, who, it appears, had planned to disappear despite seeming to have it all. Commercials deleted.
