John Stratton, EVP and CMO, Verizon Communications

"Can you hear me now?"

 John Stratton certainly hopes so. The now infamous ad campaign was introduced under his leadership as vice president and chief marketing officer of Verizon Wireless. Since 2007, he has served as EVP and CMO of Verizon Communications, overseeing the marketing and brand initiatives across all of Verizon's business units. Stratton joined Verizon's predecessor company, Bell Atlantic Mobile, in 1993 as director of retail sales and operations. He later served as vice president of marketing and president of Bell Atlantic Mobile's Philadelphia region. With the creation of Verizon Wireless in 2000, Stratton assumed the role of president of the Northwest area, where he managed the company's business operations across ten states. Previously, he served in several senior management positions in the consumer electronics industry.
