After World War II, he almost single-handedly revitalized the Italian energy industry, challenging major oil companies around the world. This new drama by RAI charts Mattei’s rise to power, with a superb lead performance by Massimo Ghini embodying the restless imagination of one of Italy’s greatest heroes. The film also explores the controversial plane crash that took Mattei’s life in 1962.
