June 24 – July 26
Throughout history, Americans have been connected through shared media experiences that informed, entertained, inspired, and united audiences across generations. From historic news broadcasts and presidential speeches to championship games, iconic musical performances, beloved television finales, and today’s digital creators, media has shaped how Americans experience history, culture, and one another.
From Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Fireside Chats to the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, from Roots and the finale of M*A*S*H to the rise of YouTube creators like MrBeast, these moments became part of the nation’s collective memory—sparking conversation, reflection, celebration, and connection.
As the nation commemorates America’s 250th anniversary, The Paley Museum is celebrating 50 years! Come to 25 West 52 to share this special connection with a dynamic, multiplatform initiative exploring the moments that brought Americans together through television, radio, sports, music, gaming, news, and digital media. Through live conversations, family programming, immersive activations, screenings, educational experiences, and curated archival presentations, Paley will celebrate the enduring power of media to shape the shared American experience.
These events are free for Paley Members, included in General Admission for the public (unless otherwise noted).
