Nothing ever really ends in television anymore. Years and sometimes decades after they took their seemingly final bows, hit shows like Will & Grace, Roseanne, The X-Files, Criminal Minds, King of the Hill, and most recently, Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle, are bringing back their original characters in hit revivals that recapture their heyday. Even as far back as The Honeymooners and Father Knows Best, beloved characters have reunited in new series and TV movies—but not every revival fares as well as the original. Join curator Jason Lynch as he looks back at the series that have been most and least successful in continuing the stories that we all thought were long ended—and which shows are most likely to be revived next.
