Courtney Holt, Chief Strategy Officer, Maker Studios
Courtney Holt is Chief Strategy Officer at Maker, overseeing key functions including corporate strategy, business development, brand partnerships and commercial development. Prior to Maker, Courtney served as an advisor to News Corp. Digital and as President of Myspace Music, a joint venture between Myspace, The EMI Group, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, and Sony ATV. Before joining Myspace, Courtney was Executive Vice President of Digital Media and Music for the MTV Networks Music & Logo Group, a division of Viacom, where he oversaw all digital initiatives for MTV, VH1 and CMT’s music brands, as well as Logo Group. Before MTV Networks, Courtney was Head of New Media and Strategic Marketing at Interscope Geffen A&M. Before the 1999 merger of Interscope Geffen A&M, he served as Vice President of New Media for A&M. Earlier in his career, Courtney was director of Video Production for Atlantic Records, where he developed early programming initiatives around interactive CD/DVD and web video. Courtney began his career as a freelance producer and director of music videos and commercials. Courtney is a graduate of Boston University and holds a B.S. in Film.

Andrew Wallenstein is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Variety. He has been with the publication since 2011, where he oversees daily and weekly coverage of the entertainment industry, with a focus on technology. He was at The Hollywood Reporter from 2002 to 2010, where he held various top posts including editor of THR.com. Wallenstein has been an on-air contributor for NPR’s “All Things Considered” for nearly a decade and also hosted the TV Guide Channel’s “Square Off,” a weekly primetime series about the TV industry, in 2006-07. He has a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and has taught undergraduate journalism at several universities. His work has also appeared in the New York Times, Boston Globe and Business Week.
